KYC Policy

What identity verification we require, which documents are accepted, and how your documents are handled.

Last updated 1 August 2026

Why verification is required

Know Your Customer (KYC) verification confirms that you are who you say you are, that you are eligible to hold an account, and that funds entering the account are lawfully yours. It is a legal requirement, not an optional step.

What we ask for

  • Proof of identity: a valid government-issued photo ID (passport, national ID card or driving licence).
  • Proof of address: a utility bill, bank statement or government letter issued within the last three months.
  • A selfie or liveness check to confirm the ID belongs to you.
  • Source-of-funds information where a deposit is large or unusual relative to your profile.

Review and outcomes

Submissions are reviewed by the compliance team. A submission can be approved, returned for resubmission where a document is unreadable or expired, or declined. You are notified of the outcome in the client portal, and the reason for any resubmission request is shown with it.

Document handling

Documents are uploaded over HTTPS to a private storage bucket that is not publicly accessible. Access is limited to authorised compliance staff, and every access or decision is recorded in the audit log. Documents are retained for the statutory record-keeping period and then deleted.

Ongoing obligations

Keep your details current. We may ask you to re-verify periodically, when your documents expire, or when your account activity changes materially. Accounts that remain unverified may be restricted from funding, trading or withdrawal.
